My name is Paige and I am 26 years old.

In January 2007, I was tested positive for Dysautonomia and Mitral Valve Prolapse. Later in the suommer of 2007, I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. In 2009, I was diagnosed with epilepsy (Grand Mal and Partial Complex Seizures).

This website is to explain to you about my chronic conditions. It's really difficult to explain almost everyday about what is wrong with me when I get asked, so I figured it would be a lot easier to make a website. Laughing

Before you get into this website it's very important to know what a "chronic illness" is. If you don't already know, I'll explain it to you.

Basically, chronic illnesses are progressing diseases that nobody has found cures for yet.
So, you will always be chronically ill until that day comes and you can go back to having a "normal" life. Until then, you go downhill and uphill. You have terrible days and decent days but there is always pain in each day, just at different levels. You just learn how to tolerate the pain. Usually, when you ask someone with one illness or many illnesses how they are doing, we say we are feeling fine so we don't have to go into how much pain we are really in. We don't like people pitying us or worrying about us! We don't see the point in burdening others with our pains and problems. We also know people have their own problems and we don't want to add our  troubles onto them at all. We are touched so deeply that people ask how we are doing and care about us but it's easier sometimes to say we're feeling okay rather than go into the millions of things that hurt. Wink

I've really been blessed with an amazing support group. From my parents, my family, friends, and all the churches that keep me in their prayers. I wouldn't be able to make it without all of the prayers, support, and love that they send everyday.

So, if you know me personally, or do not know me at all - I hope you find this website informative and maybe it will help to spread awareness and education about these illnesses. It means the world to me that anyone would take the time to stop by and read everything on the website! Smile
